The company has appointed Peter Speck as its new vice president and head of corporate supply management.

Zurich, July 14, 2010 – Swissport International has appointed Peter Speck as its new vice president and head of corporate supply management for its globally active group. He succeeds Martin Koch, and will assume his new duties on Aug. 1.

Peter Speck (43) has been recruited from within Swissport’s ranks: he is currently head of fleet management & supply chain integration. Prior to this he served as head of purchasing & fleet management Americas, based in Washington, D.C.

Speck can draw on many years of experience in various capacities within the aviation sector. Before he joined Swissport in 2003, these had included positions as a consulting partner and executive functions at Fairchild-Dornier, SR Technics and Swissair.

With his extensive procurement expertise and his wide knowledge of overall supply management processes, Peter Speck is an ideal candidate for his new position at Swissport’s Zurich head office. He succeeds Martin Koch, who will be taking on a new professional challenge outside the Swissport Group.

“We are delighted to have appointed such a skilled and experienced individual from within our own ranks to this key position,” says Philipp Joeinig, executive vice president and head of group services at Swissport International. “I am certain that with his vast expertise, Peter will further enhance the power and performance of our Corporate Supply Management team.”

“I would also like to thank Martin Koch for all his service and commitment to Swissport over the past three-and-a-half years,” Joeinig continues. “I wish Martin every success and satisfaction in his new professional challenge.”
