Aviapartner was awarded the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Safety Audit for Ground Operations (ISAGO) certificates in Nice, Milan Malpensa and Lyon following the successful completion of comprehensive audits. Aviapartner was the first multi-station European ground handler to be ISAGO registered in January 2010 with Amsterdam. After this, Aviapartner continued to implement the program in each country where it provides handling services. Frankfurt appeared on the Registry in March, followed by Brussels, Dusseldorf and Munich in June. This list was extended in August with Nice, Milan Malpensa and Lyon, making Aviapartner the first handler on the ISAGO Registry in each of the 5 following countries : the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, France and Italy. ISAGO is a standardized audit program for Ground Service Providers (GSP) modeled on the success of IOSA (IATA Operational Safety Audit). It uses internationally recognized ground operational standards and recommended practices. The audit is conducted by highly trained and experienced auditors from airlines. ISAGO provides GSPs with a model for operational risk & safety management in their organizations. It includes a system for registration and sharing of audit results. ISAGO offers benefits to airlines, regulatory authorities as well as airport authorities. Among them are safer ground operations leading to fewer damage and injuries, reduced costs through the elimination of redundant audits, a uniform audit process and harmonized auditor training and qualifications and improved quality through harmonized standards, improved safety oversight and enhanced understanding of high-risk areas within ground operations. Aviapartner is gradually registering all the stations in its European network. Turin, Venice and Rotterdam will be the following Aviapartner stations on the ISAGO Registry as action plans for these stations are being completed.
