Bombardier Wins $637 Million Regional-Jet Order from SkyWest
Bombardier Inc.'s has received an order valued at US$637 million (euro494 million) for 20 CRJ700 regional jets from SkyWest Airlines, Bombardier said Monday.
TORONTO (AP) -- Bombardier Inc.'s has received an order valued at US$637 million (euro494 million) for 20 CRJ700 regional jets from SkyWest Airlines, Bombardier said Monday.
The purchase will increase SkyWest's fleet of the 66-seat CRJ700s to 52 aircraft, Montreal-based Bombardier said.
SkyWest, based in St. George, Utah, had 23 CRJ700s in service as of Feb. 28, flying under the United Express banner for United Airlines from bases in Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
Bombardier, a maker of aircraft and trains, had revenue of US$15.8 billion for the year ended Jan. 31.
