Calgary Airport Flights Delayed Because of U.S. Computer Malfunction

CALGARY (CP) -- Hundreds of southbound Calgary airport passengers had to endure flight delays because of a computer malfunction in the United States.

Airport manager Bryce Paton says hundreds of passengers on 12 flights were affected. United States.

They had to be checked and cleared by immigration officials south of the border instead of in Calgary as is the norm for those travelling to the United States.

Betty Rice of the U.S. Consulate General's office in Calgary says it was a small matter and nothing to be overly concerned about. United States.

She says the system was up and running again in no time. United States.
