Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport on Wednesday reported a 14.2 percent increase in May passenger volume, to 1.9 million passengers.
Domestic passenger traffic rose 11.6 percent to 1.7 million, and international traffic jumped 49.9 percent, to 166,949 passengers.
US Airways, JetBlue Airways and Spirit Airlines contributed the most in added traffic volume in May, compared to the same month last year, airport figures show.
Total cargo at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood rose 1.9 percent in May to 15,110.5 tons.
