Alliance Formed to Oppose Commercial Service at Boeing Field
The Alliance formed in response to a Southwest proposal to build a passenger terminal and parking garage to accommodate 85 flights a day.
Sound Air Alliance is a growing group of neighborhoods, businesses, regional leaders and stakeholders opposed to establishing commercial passenger service at Boeing Field. Its mission is to ensure that Sea-Tac Airport remains the only commercial aviation gateway for the Puget Sound region (in accordance with previously adopted regional policies). The Alliance also advocates for the King County Council to reject Southwest Airlines' proposal to relocate its passenger operations from Sea-Tac to Boeing Field.
