France decided to shortlist the airlines banned from flying in its territory for safety reasons.

France decided to shortlist the airlines banned from flying in its territory for safety reasons, Transport Minister Dominique Perben said Thursday.

Perben added in a press conference today that three clear lists would appear Monday, on the Internet site of the Civil Aviation Authority, putting at the disposal of the French people the banned, authorized and chartered carriers.

" The first list will comprise the airways that cannot fly in the French territory.

.The second list will contain the carriers allowed to fly in the French territory and the third will comprise the companies that hire planes", Perpen explained, adding that the three lists will provide the French with information on available safety measures in total transparency.

The French government would soon force travel agencies to inform their clients about the carrier company before traveling, Perben announced.

All these measures have been taken after the last series of air crashes that have occurred during the current month, compelling the French passengers to refuse certain charter flights for safety reasons.
