Frontier Airlines Receives Approval to Serve Acapulco From Denver

Acapulco represents Frontier's seventh Mexican destination from Denver.

DENVER, Sept. 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT)today announced that it has received approval from the U.S. Department ofTransportation (DOT) to expand its Mexico service by offering non-stop service to Acapulco (ACA) from its Denver hub. With seasonal operation of as many as two flights per week, service is planned to begin Sunday, December 18, 2005. Acapulco represents Frontier's seventh Mexican destination from Denver. Frontier already provides service to Cabo San Lucas, Cancun, Mazatlan, PuertoVallarta, Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo (seasonal), and flights to Cozumel commence December 17th. To celebrate the new service, Frontier is offering fares as low as $124* each way from Denver, $174* each way from Chicago and $199* each way from Atlanta, Minneapolis/St. Paul and several other cities. Fares must be purchased by 10 p.m. MDT on September 23, 2005 for travel between December 18, 2005 and April 16, 2006.

Acapulco, which is known for its night life and the pristine beaches of Acapulco Bay, also boasts some of Mexico's top resorts and restaurants. In addition, Acapulco offers world-class game fishing and snorkeling, as well as a rich history, having served as the Spanish base for exploration of the Pacific many centuries ago.

Frontier is partnering with the Acapulco community to help spread the word about this resurgent destination. Acapulco hotels in association with the Mexican government and the Ministry of Tourism are planning a major ad campaign in the Denver area to welcome Coloradoans to their sunny shores. In addition, with a population of more than 1.8 million residents, Acapulco represents Frontier's first foray into a large international city, allowing Frontier to cater to Mexican tourists wishing to visit the U.S. through Frontier's Denver hub.
