Aberdeen Regional Airport to Receive Grant

The money will come from the Federal Aviation Administration and will be used for snow removal equipment, a storage facility and repairs to the hangar taxiway. The snow removal equipment being purchased includes two snow plows.
Sen. Tim Johnson, D-S.D., announced the expected grant Friday.
"The funding will improve transportation conditions and safety at Aberdeen Regional Airport. Our airports not only move people from community to community, but act as a source of economic growth," Johnson said in a press release. "The goal is to keep them safe and viable to help the entire region."
