BUILDING A BETTER AIRPORT
* The runway will grow from 3,414 to 5,000 feet, which can accommodate corporate jets.
* More hangars will be built, increasing capacity to 300 planes from the current 100 or so.
* The county hopes the result is more businesses --- and hence more jobs --- will be attracted to the area around the airport.
The Lorain County Regional Airport plans to lengthen its runway by more than 25 percent, a move that could reignite concern in nearby Oberlin and its world-renowned music school.
