American Eagle Flight Makes Emergency Landing

American Eagle Flight 3980 made an emergency landing at Louisville International Airport on 27 October shortly after take-off.

The crew of the Embraer ERJ-140, which had taken off for Chicago, reportedly told airport officials that an engine on the aircraft had "powered down". According to an airport spokeswoman there were no injuries to the 46 people on board.

The passengers were taken back to the terminal by shuttle, The Associated Press reported.

No cause for the engine powering down was reported.
