ExpressJet enhances New Orleans flying options

Service to six cities will be available

Travelers at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport now have service to six more non-stop destinations: San Antonio; Jacksonville, Fla.; Austin, Texas; Birmingham, Ala.; Kansas City, Mo.; and Raleigh-Durham, N.C., as well as one-stop service to Tucson.

"The entrance of ExpressJet has improved MSY's ability to meet the needs of this growing market. We see demand for non-stop flights continuing to climb," said Sean Hunter, interim director of aviation at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport.

Jim Ream, ExpressJet president and CEO, said travelers will save time by eliminating layovers in crowded hubs.

"We intend to deliver our customers more convenience and more service in growing cities like New Orleans with populations that are the right size for our 50-seat aircraft," Ream said.

ExpressJet customers can earn one roundtrip ticket to any destination ExpressJet serves for every eight roundtrips made or 16 one-way tickets, within a 24-month period.

A limited-time JetSet promotion rewards flyers four roundtrip or eight one-way tickets between now and Sept. 30 with one free roundtrip ticket to any destination ExpressJet serves.

ExpressJet uses Embraer ERJ-145 aircraft configured with no middle seats, Every customer has an assigned seat.

To make boarding easier, ExpressJet also offers valet carry-on baggage service.

In-flight entertainment includes more than 100 channels of free XM® Satellite Radio, free name-brand snacks with full service meal options on longer flights, and redesigned, memory foam leather seating.
