Florida Orders Hydrogen-Fuel Buses
Florida to be first state to receive a fleet of shuttle buses exclusively fueled by hydrogen

ORLANDO, Fla.-- Florida will be the first state to receive a fleet of shuttle buses exclusively fueled by hydrogen.
Florida got its first hydrogen-powered bus from Ford two years ago in Orlando and will get three more Ford E-450 buses to ferry passengers at Orlando International Airport and the Orlando Convention Central District.
Power for the Ford E-450 shuttle buses is provided by an internal combustion engine that has been modified to run only on hydrogen fuel. Hydrogen fuel cells combine hydrogen with air to create a clean-burning energy -- water is the only significant exhaust emission.
