Daily nonstop service between New York and Athens launched by Continental Airlines

Continental Airlines (NYSE: CAL) has announced that on Thursday (7 June) it will launch daily nonstop flights between Newark Liberty International Airport and Athens, Greece.

The flights will be operated with 174-seat Boeing 767-200ER aircraft, carrying 25 passengers in the BusinessFirst cabin and 149 in economy.

The airline said that Flight CO104 departs New York Liberty daily at 17:30, arriving in Athens at 10:20 the following day. The return flight, CO105, departs Athens daily at 12:20, arriving at New York Liberty at 16:30 the same day.

The frequency of service will be reduced to five flights weekly in November and December 2007, four flights weekly in January and February 2008, and five flights per week in March 2008. A daily frequency will resume in April 2008, Continental said.
