Canada's WestJet (TSX: WJA) is introducing seasonal direct service to three new international destinations in the Caribbean: Montego Bay (Jamaica), Puerto Plata (Dominican Republic) and Punta Cana (Dominican Republic).

These new destinations are part of WestJet's enhanced winter schedule that also includes increased frequency to its Hawaiian destinations and new direct flights in its existing network.

Starting in December 2007 the airline will provide seasonal direct service to a number of new sun destinations.

Additionally, WestJet has applied for, and received, authority to provide scheduled air travel to the Dominican Republic. This is subject to receipt of a government license for operation.
