Midwest Air Group Inc (Amex: MEH), the parent company of Midwest Airlines, has said that, as of 2 August, it has entered into confidentiality agreements with four interested parties.

The company said that the agreements were entered into after a committee was formed by the airline holding company's board of directors with the intent to explore strategic and financial alternatives.

Midwest also said that the confidentiality agreements will allow the interested parties to conduct due diligence investigations in evaluating a possible transaction with the company. Additionally, the company said that due to the nature of the committee's process, it cannot commit to when it will comment further.
