AirTran launches service between Quad City International Airport and McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas

AirTran Airways (NYSE: AAI), yesterday (16 August) launched direct flight service between Quad City International Airport and McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas.

The airline said that the passengers on the flight were treated to a special in-flight performance by Elvis to celebrate the new service to Las Vegas.

In addition to the regularly scheduled XM Satellite Radio, passengers received bonus in-flight entertainment with performances by 'Elvis' prior to boarding, as well as en route to Las Vegas. Elvis reportedly also helped in distributing complimentary decks of limited edition, collector's item playing cards to honour the new AirTran Airways service to Las Vegas.
