Seattle-Tacoma International Airport receives ACI-NA's Peggy G. Hereford award

Some 43 airports to be recognized at annual meeting in Kansas City

Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, USA, has received the Peggy G. Hereford Overall Award for Excellence from the Airports Council International - North America (ACI-NA), with 43 airports winning the ACI-NA's 2007 Excellence in Marketing and Communications Contest.

The ACI-NA confirmed that airports winning three or more awards included Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, Baltimore-Washington, Las Vegas, Los Angeles/Ontario, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Portland, Oregon and San Diego International Airports.

Some 73 airports and airport authorities submitted nearly 300 entries in this year's contest, which included categories recognising work in marketing and public relations and covers a wide range of media.

Seattle-Tacoma airport was placed in four categories: First Place: Newsletters--Internal; Second Place: Special Events; Second Place: Partnering with Carriers; and Second Place: Marketing Campaigns.

Award winners for the contest, which was established in 1990, will be recognised at ACI-NA's 16th Annual Conference & Exhibition on 3 October 2007, in Kansas City, MO, during the chairman's honours luncheon.
