Pittsburgh International Airport extends Wi-Fi

Sept. 12, 2007

Wi-Fi service at Pittsburgh International Airport now reaches a wider area.

The free computer connection service now is available in the Landside and Airside terminals in Findlay, the Allegheny County Airport Authority said Monday.

The wireless service allows passengers at the airport to connect to the Internet using laptop computers and PDAs while waiting at an airline gate or in an Airmall restaurant.

The service also has been improved with faster speed and better reliability. Users connecting to the Internet using the authority's Wi-Fi service will see an initial "splash" page that promotes the airport's Web site. The Allegheny County Airport in West Mifflin also offers free Wi-Fi service.
