Council will consider an agreement with a fixed based operator, Tuesday, to provide services at the Oroville Municipal Airport.
The issue will be discussed at the September 15 Oroville City Council meeting, which begins at 7 p.m. in City Council Chambers, 1735 Montgomery St.
According to a staff report, the city received a master plan for Table Mountain Aviation in August outlining an expanded FBO service for the airport.
The three-year lease would include aviation services in the FBO building, two T-hanger buildings and the tie-downs at the airport. According to the report, Table Mountain Aviation has grown, wants to expand and wants to sign a new three-year lease effective September 18, 2007.
Tom Hagler will own and manage the operation. He worked for Oroville Aviation as the lead mechanic, and he has been the face of Table Mountain Aviation since the city signed the original lease about a year ago.
The lease would include the FBO building, the lobby and pilot's lounge areas, offices, bathrooms, two hangar buildings and tie-down spaces.
Under public hearings, council has scheduled a final hearing and close-out report on Community Development Block Grant activities for two business programs.
There will also be a hearing on using $15,000 in CDBG program income to help the At-Risk Youth Program.
In regular business, the council will again consider an ordinance describing the policy of the Oroville Redevelopment Agency regarding eminent domain, which is that the agency has no power of eminent domain.
