ATA COMMENTS ON PASSAGE OF HOUSE REAUTHORIZATION LEGISLATION
Group maintains position regarding corporate aviation

The following information was released by the Air Transport Association of America:
The Air Transport Association of America (ATA), the industry trade organization representing leading U.S. airlines, today commented on the passage of H.R. 2881, the FAA Reauthorization Act of 2007:
The House bill does little to promote NextGen or correct the subsidy of corporate jets by airline passengers. Even worse, it imposes a $2.2 billion tax increase on passengers in the form of airport facilities charges, said ATA President and CEO James C. May.
ATA airline members transport more than 90 percent of all U.S. airline passenger and cargo traffic. For additional information about the industry, visit www.airlines.org.
