The Wayne County Airport Authority has approved contracts to add more than 30 new shops and restaurants at Detroit Metro Airport's (DTW) new North Terminal.
The terminal is scheduled to open in the autumn of 2008 and, when complete, its concession programme is expected to add approximately 50,000 square feet of new concession space to the airport. This includes 14 new gift/news and specialty retail stores and 15 food and beverage facilities, including two multi-concept food courts. The airport authority has also said that the new terminal will feature five concepts that are firsts in any airport, including: Ruby Tuesday, Hockeytown Cafe, Corona Bar & Grill, Cheeburger Cheeburger, and Paul Maison De Qualite.
