Successful FNPT II MCC Qualification at DSA for Mechtronix Ascent Flight Trainer

FNPT enables air school to offer modular MCC and integrated ATPL.

MONTREAL, CANADA -- Mechtronix Systems ("Mechtronix") a division of Mechtronix World Corp., announce the successful certification of the Ascent Flight Trainer acquired by DSA a.s. for its training facility based in Hradec Kralove, Czech Republic. The air school received JAR FSTD A FNPT II MCC qualification for the device from the Czech Republic CAA under JAA regulations. The FNPT ll MCC is based on a twin turboprop and is reconfigurable to piston aircraft Piper Seneca V and Cessna 172R.

The Ascent Flight Trainer features a 150 x 35 degree visual system. The unit is equipped with autopilot technology Garmin 430. Additionally, the device features an ergonomic environment designed to increase the instructor's comfort level and efficiency and for easier interaction between the instructor and the student. DSA also benefits from high performance aerodynamic models and FFS Level D compliant airport databases and PC-based Image Generator developed by Redifun Simulation Inc. (RSI). The air school plans to use the device to widen its training capabilities by offering Instrument Rating and Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC) training.
