American Airlines to Open a New Admirals Club Lounge at Washington Dulles International Airport

FORT WORTH, Texas , Feb. 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- As the final stage of the relocation of American Airlines operations to Washington Dulles International Airport's Terminal B, the airline will open the doors of its new Admirals Club lounge on Tuesday, Feb. 3 . In June 2008 , American shifted its operations from Terminal D to make room for Dulles' expansion of Concourse B.

"Having served Washington Dulles International Airport since 1962, American Airlines is delighted to mark the new year by opening the doors to our brand new Admirals Club lounge for our 47th year of service to IAD," said Nancy Knipp , President - Admirals Club. Open from 5:30 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. Sunday through Friday and 5:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday , the new Admirals Club lounge is located in Terminal B, Mezzanine Level near Gate 63. The 3,000 square foot facility provides a respite for weary travelers with seating for 73 guests and complimentary light snacks, juice, tea, coffee and soft drinks. The lounge's new food and beverage program, Amora(TM), also offers delicious fare for purchase.

American's highly-qualified and professional Premium Services representatives assist guests with boarding passes, reservations, seat selection and upgrades. Other highly-valued amenities include a multi-functional business center outfitted with telephones, a global print solution powered by PrinterOn, copier and fax service. Visitors can choose to relax in the cyber cafe, use their laptop or complimentary computers at the window-side counter, or watch DirecTV on one of the two flat-panel televisions in the lounge.
