American Airlines Opens New Doors at Cowboys Stadium

Sept. 21, 2009

FORT WORTH, Texas, Sept. 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- American Airlines, the official airline of the Dallas Cowboys, is celebrating the team's move into the new Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas, by kicking off its "Co-Owner for a Week" promotion and officially opening up the doors to the American Airlines Lounge at the stadium.

During the Sept. 20 home opener against the New York Giants, American will introduce the first winner of this new promotion that will grant a fan a complete Cowboys VIP experience. For each home game, one lucky winner will receive two game tickets, pre-game field access, passes to the American Airlines Lounge, and a one-year Admirals Club membership. In addition, each entrant will receive a promotional code for $25 off their next flight out of Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport on American Airlines. To enter, log on to AA.com/cowboys.

"We are so thrilled to have American Airlines as a partner and have been delighted with what they are doing with us in the new stadium," said Jerry Jones, owner of the Dallas Cowboys. "This promotion and their club are just more examples of the first-class way American Airlines operates."

Also on Sept. 20, members of American's Admirals Club team will be on site to welcome fans in the new American Airlines Lounge at Cowboys Stadium. The lounge has been in the works for more than a year and was designed by the American Airlines Corporate Real Estate team. It is the first branded club space in the stadium to be completed.

Located on the south side Silver Level of the stadium, the lounge decor and furniture takes on subtle qualities of the Admirals Club locations that American Airlines passengers enjoy in airports around the world. The 13,000 square-foot space boasts two exclusive bars, as well as American-branded areas where fans can relax. The lounge is decorated with a retro style and deep colors and honors American's rich history. Scattered along the dark paneled wood are life-size, authentic black-and-white photos featuring classic movie stars with vintage American Airlines airplanes.

The lounge is open during stadium events to ticket holders in the surrounding Silver Level Club seats and suites.

"American Airlines and the Dallas Cowboys are two Texas icons. It is a natural fit for us to build upon the excitement that our passengers have for sports and entertainment," said Roger Frizzell, Vice President Advertising and Corporate Communications at American Airlines. "Whether it is relaxing in our new American Airlines lounge or having stadium access like Jerry Jones as 'co-owner' of the Cowboys, American is committed to providing innovative programs for our customers."

American Airlines, the official airline of the Dallas Cowboys, is proud to be a partner of the Cowboys for more than 20 years.
