IAH Airport Terminals Reopened
HOUSTON --
Three terminals were shut down briefly at Bush Intercontinental Airport because of what was believed to be a security breach, KPRC Local 2 reported Wednesday.
An airport spokeswoman said officials first thought a man ran past security shortly after 5 p.m. However, it was later determined that the man went down an escalator and then back up when he realized he was in the wrong place. He did not go through security.
Terminals C, D and E were shut down until the incident was over and the man was located.
Airport officials were concerned security might have been compromised, but said it was not the case.
All terminals were reopened by 6 p.m.
Authorities said the incident had minimal impact on operations.
