Spirit AeroSystems Completes 787 Contract Amendment with Boeing

WICHITA, Kan., May 17, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Spirit AeroSystems Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: SPR) announced today it has signed the formal contract amendment with The Boeing Company regarding certain claims associated with the development and production of the 787-8 airplane. The amendment completes the previously announced memorandum of agreement.

"With this agreement we continue to reinforce our partnership with our largest customer as we work together for the long-term success of the 787 program," said Phil Anderson, Spirit Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

Spirit AeroSystems designs and builds the composite forward fuselage, engine pylons, and wing leading edge components for the 787 program.
