PR Newswire

CHARLOTTE, N.C., March 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Goodrich Corporation (NYSE: GR) at this week's Asian Aerospace will showcase commercial aircraft solutions including electronics, interior components and maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) locations specific to the region.  Asian Aerospace 2011 takes place March 8 – 10 at Asia World-Expo in Hong Kong.

Goodrich (booth 5G23) will showcase its advanced SmartDisplay™ Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) which serves as the cornerstone for advanced cockpit data management systems.  Paperless, expandable and intuitive to operate, the system provides traditional Class 2 and Class 3 EFB functionality including: terminal charts, electronic viewer, performance calculation tools, video surveillance, weather applications and an en-route chart. Additionally, the SmartDisplay EFB provides an affordable upgrade path to ADS-B (automatic dependent surveillance-broadcast) compliance required by the NextGen Air Transportation System.

Goodrich is the exterior and interior lighting system supplier for the COMAC C919 aircraft. The full array of lighting supplied includes the complete exterior, cockpit, compartment, cargo, emergency and the interior lighting with LED wash lights.  Product experts will be on hand to discuss our different lighting systems alongside our passenger service units (PSU) on display for the commercial marketplace.

In support of the growth in the region, Goodrich continues to increase its presence in Asia with a new 170,000 square foot facility in Tianjin, China scheduled to open this year in addition to existing facilities in Xiamen, Beijing and Hong Kong.  Goodrich also has facilities in Singapore, Tokyo, Sydney and Bandung, Indonesia. Representatives will be available to discuss how local Goodrich MRO and manufacturing can best meet airlines' needs in Asia.
