Sheltair Announces an Alliance with Gol Iluminado Foundation and Players For Peace

July 29, 2011

Sheltair, a U.S. network of fixed based operators and airport properties throughout the states of Florida, Georgia and New York, announces an alliance with the Gol Iluminado Foundation and Players For Peace. Carlos Alberto Torres, Captain of 1970 World Cup Champions Brazil and Elias Figueroa, three times South American Player of The Year, who are the Founders of Players For Peace, will be special guests of Sheltair during the 8th Annual Latin American Business Aviation Conference and Exhibition (LABACE) hosted at Congonhas Airport in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The Historic Futbol Legends will appear at the Sheltair exhibitor booth (4029) on Friday, August 12 from 2 to 4 p.m. for autograph signings. Raffle giveaways will also be held in celebration of the alliance between Sheltair and Players For Peace.

Players For Peace is an Organization that works as a collaborative commitment of Goodwill, implementing concrete Legacy projects through the Gol Iluminado Foundation in support of the United Nations Sport for Development and Peace program.

"The sporting community has the power to advance humanity and to help ensure that all children everywhere have access to health care, education, protection and equality," said three times South American Player of The Year Elias Figueroa, Chairman of the Gol Iluminado Foundation and Players For Peace.

Carlos Alberto Torres is a National Treasure known affectionately as “Capitao do Tri”(Captain of the Third World Championship). Carlos Alberto is remembered for the fourth goal he scored in the World Cup final match against Italy, which was voted as the greatest goal of all times. The highlight footage from that goal is the most used to represent the intensity and majesty of the World Cup Championships and its glorious history.

Jerry Holland, Sheltair CEO, said, “Sheltair is thrilled to team up with Players For Peace. Carlos and Elias’s dedication to their sport and their Organization is similar to Sheltair’s dedication to our customers and our communities. We’re proud to support them and Players For Peace, as they spread Goodwill throughout this country.”
