Akron-Canton Airport Launches New, Innovative, Customer-Centric Website

PR Newswire

GREEN, Ohio, Sept. 22, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Attention CAK Customers, first-time travelers, long-time fanatics and talkative tweeps: you aren't going to want to miss the newest version of Akron-Canton Airport's website! The revamped, re-energized AkronCantonAirport.com, was launched today and revolves around the most important aspect of our business – our Customers. The totally redesigned web destination offers more ways to engage with CAK including fun polls, continuous feeds from airport social media channels and an interactive FAQ. Plus, Customers can book their flights easily from the homepage. Also, a fresh take on all of our Customer perks called "Fun Stuff" expands to show off what Customers love about CAK.

"Our new website accomplishes three primary goals: To engage our Customers, offer the content they want most and amplify our brand," said Kristie Van Auken, senior vice president and chief marketing and communications officer. "So many airport websites look the same, offering the same content in the same format. We broke the mold by offering fresh content that is just as much 'destination' as 'departures and arrivals.' It is so CAK."

The website redesign was led by Derby Brand Advertising, the airport's creative agency and FORM, a boutique design studio based in Cleveland. "We sought to create a site that better reflects the airport experience and brand today by seamlessly integrating the core airport information, brand messaging and social media in a simple, accessible way," states Dave Derby, owner of Derby Brand Advertising. "We partnered with FORM of Cleveland, whose incredible design and technical expertise really brought it to life with a clean, fresh brand-centric approach."

Additionally, visitors to the new site can sign up for our Sail Away Sweepstakes to win a Royal Caribbean cruise sponsored by Traveline Travel Services of Mentor. A winner will be announced October 10, 2011, and will have the option to sail away on the Majesty of the Seas or the Monarch of the Seas. Rules and restrictions apply. See full contest page for details.
