TESlite enhanced voltmeter leads

Dec. 10, 2008
TESlite enhanced voltmeter leads are an inexpensive, OEM-approved electrical test tool, designed by a mechanic to identify corrosive/high resistance faults in wiring. This allows a more effective, timely and less expensive electrical troubleshooting process that can help reduce or eliminate the unnecessary replacement of good parts. TESlite Leads provide information previously unavailable from a simple voltmeter, and work on systems up to 28.5 volts. They are tested safe on ECM outputs and sensor supply/return voltages. To use this tool simply connect it to any digital voltmeter and check for system voltage per manufacturer instructions. If system voltage is present, the TESlite is activated to load test the circuit. A substantial drop in voltage indicates the presence of a resistive fault. Correct manipulation of the leads first isolates the fault between the positive or negative side of the load, and then can then pinpoint it down to the specific failed conductor. Field test reports suggest time savings of up to eight hours on some faults. In some cases corrosion has been located in minutes after days of ineffective manufacturer-prescribed testing.
