Nov. 24, 2010
The $1.2 billion project will create a new facility with nine international gates on the B concourse, improved baggage claim areas and will have an expanded Customs and Border Protection area.

At present, Delta operates predominantly out of JFK's Terminal 2 for its domestic flights and Terminal 3 for international services. The expansion of Terminal 4 will replace the airline's outdated Terminal 3 facilities.

This $1.2 billion project will create a new facility with nine international gates on the B Concourse, improved baggage claim areas and will have an expanded Customs and Border Protection area. Delta also expects the consolidation of two passenger security checkpoints to create a more efficient, passenger-friendly, post-security environment for retail and food and beverage offerings.

Terminal 4 is operated by JFKIAT LLC, a subsidiary of Schiphol USA which is part of Amsterdam-based airport operator Schiphol Group.
