Orlando … ASIG® announced today that it is celebrating 25 years of service to the LAXFUEL airline consortium based at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). LAXFUEL is the largest jet fuel consortium in the United States. Since the inception of LAXFUEL, ASIG has been the sole contractor to maintain and operate LAX’s airport jet fuel facility. ASIG was also recently granted a contract extension at the annual meeting where, ASIG’s vice president of fuel consortiums, Larry McMahon, accepted a special award acknowledging ASIG’s 25 years of service to LAXFUEL. LAXFUEL is comprised of 63 domestic and international airline members and the facility handles 1.4 billion gallons of jet fuel annually.

Commenting on the success of the contract, Keith P. Ryan said, “ASIG is extremely honored to be an integral part of the history and success of this contract. We are also very proud that Larry McMahon was recognized by our customers at this meeting for his dedication and support to the ongoing success of LAXFUEL. Larry’s direct involvement and oversight of this facility along with the efforts of key members from the consortium has led to 20 years of uninterrupted service at the airport. This is no small feat when dealing with the many factors that can affect an operation of LAXFUEL’s size and scale. ASIG looks forward to continuing our partnership with the consortium well into future.”
