I am pretty sure that my head is still spinning from the GSE Expo this year. It was a great event and it felt right this year. There was a ton of exhibitors and a ton of attendees. Everyone was busy - I attempted to walk around in the indoor booth area on Tuesday, but it was standing room only.
I always find myself saying that the ground support industry is a niche within a niche market, but putting on a GSE ONLY event makes me feel proud that our little niche contributes so much to aviation.
Because we were a GSE ONLY show, this year we did have to turn companies away, as aligning the industry with companies and products that will help them in their day-to-day tasks was the main objective. The same can be said about Ground Support Worldwide magazine - we align our editorial and digital products so that they will help the industry with daily operations.
Don’t be fooled, there are many out there that would like to tell you that they talk about GSE and operations. But if you are not truly dedicated to all aspects of the industry, it is a hard claim to swallow. There is a certain amount of credibility and longevity, and ultimately the publication's readership, that proves its dedication to a niche market like ground support.
Ground Support Worldwide is dedicated to the GSE industry and everyone involved, and we will continue to be - just like we have for almost 25 years. Did I forget to mention, 2017 will mark 25 years for Ground Support Worldwide?
