FBO Partners, an aviation consultancy providing business management advisory services to Fixed Base Operations (FBOs) has marked the fifth anniversary of its founding through the addition of a safety department to its growing suite of consulting services available to FBOs and other aviation businesses. The new safety offerings, which include subscription-based safety services, will be led by Patrick Moylan, CSP, who brings with him more than 20 years’ FBO experience in safety-related leadership and management roles.
Moylan, whose career began as an air traffic controller with the United States Marine Corps, has held key safety roles with the Federal Aviation Administration, and has worked at both independent and chain FBOs alike, ultimately becoming the Senior Director of Health Safety and Environmental for BBA Aviation, where he led global safety initiatives for both Aircraft Service International Group (ASIG) and Signature Flight Support. Says Moylan of joining FBO Partners, “What I find rewarding is helping companies and individuals find that ‘ah-ha’ connection between safety and their organization’s success- and by extension, profitability. That positive feeling we get when we’ve genuinely helped a client isn’t just the culture of FBO Partners. It’s who we are.”
Complementing its existing IS-BAH auditing and implementation consulting services, FBO Partners’ safety programs include a subscription-based Online Safety Officer Program (OSO), aimed FBOs seeking an outsourced solution to the management and oversight of an FBO’s safety program, as well as traditional onsite training programs, such as OSHA 10-hour and 30-hour certification programs. Says Douglas Wilson, President of FBO Partners, “Safety is the backbone of any aviation business, yet the economic realities of our industry mean few FBOs can afford a dedicated, full-time Safety Officer or manage a viable SMS program. With the Online Safety Officer Program, we aim to do both for our client FBOs, at a fraction of the cost. I can think of no more qualified individual in our industry than Patrick to lead those efforts for FBO Partners; we’re fortunate to have him on our team.”
Moylan is latest to join the growing consultancy, which now includes six consultants nationwide. In 2018, FBO Partners added Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) consulting services for FBOs, headed by Senior Associate Ty Kronk and in 2016, Customer Service training and consulting led by Senior Associates Rikki Altenburg and Jamie Wilson.
