Aerosim Flight Academy has earned the Federal Aviation Administration Diamond Award of Excellence which honors organizations that employ safe, proficient mechanics or technicians.

Created in 1991, the FAA Aviation Maintenance Technician award program represents the highest honor for maintenance training and recognizes employers that "promote and foster initial and recurrent training."

“Aerosim Flight Academy prides itself in safety and excellence in aviation training and believes skill and safety can never be defined by minimum standards,” said Tom Bruno, director of aircraft maintenance. “Our dedicated maintenance department has a proven track record and deserves this esteemed award by successfully completing the required core Aviation Maintenance Technician courses provided by the FAA Safety Team (FAASTeam) and ongoing weekly recurrent training.”

One hundred percent of the mechanics employed at Aerosim Flight Academy adhere to this training program Bruno added.

FAASTeam’s mission is to improve the nation’s aviation accident rate by conveying safety principles and practices through training, outreach, and education; while establishing partnerships and encouraging the continual growth of a positive safety culture within the aviation community.

“We are honored to be recognized by the FAA,” continued Bruno. “The award represents our relationship with the FAASTeam and our commitment to continuing education. We have always worked hard to build a strong partnership with the FAA and continue to strive to be the best technicians, delivering the safest aircraft and putting forth the best work possible.”
