Banyan Air Service based at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport (KFXE) will host a NextGen Seminar on Thursday, February 6 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. This seminar will include a hands-on workshop and a live demonstration of Controller Pilot Data Link Communications (CPDLC). The purpose of the workshop is to provide hands on experience using the equipment that meets the North Atlantic FANS 1/A Mandates and European Mandate for LINK 2000+ requirements. The NextGen topics also covered will include ADS-B, ADS-C, FANS 1/A benefits which are improved communications, reduced separation between aircraft, and more direct routings.
