HAI Heli-Expo 2018 – Las Vegas, Nevada – Corporate Service Supply & Manufacturing (CSSM) announced the appointment of aviation industry veteran Scott E. Ashton as the company’s new President and CEO. CSSM is an FAA/EASA certified Part 145 accessory Repair Station that specializes in the testing, repair, and overhaul of aircraft and engine accessories for fixed and rotary wing aircraft.
“CSSM is among the industry leaders in supporting airplane and helicopter operators with reliable airframe and engine accessory overhaul and repair services,” commented Mr. Ashton. “I am excited to be joining CSSM in this leadership role, and I am looking forward to working with our team to execute our growth strategy, to expand our service offerings, and to help CSSM in delivering world-class MRO services to our customers.”
Mr. Ashton brings over 25 years of aviation leadership experience to CSSM. Most recently he served as president of Associated Aircraft Group (AAG), a New York based provider of helicopter Fractional Ownership, Charter, and MRO services. Prior to AAG, Ashton served in commercial roles at Gama Aviation, GE Capital, and Goodrich Engine Control Systems. Ashton is an NBAA Certified Aviation Manager (CAM), and he holds a B.S. in Aero Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, a Masters in Engineering from University of Hartford, and an M.B.A in finance from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Ashton is Board Chairman of the New England Air Museum and sits on boards and volunteers for various industry associations including Eastern Regional Helicopter Council and Patient Airlift Services. He is an ATP-rated pilot and flies fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft and gliders.
