The General Aviation Awards Program, a cooperative effort between the FAA and more than a dozen sponsoring aviation organizations, recognizes exceptional aviation professionals in three categories: CFIs, FAA Safety Team Representatives, and Aviation Maintenance Technicians (including mechanics and avionics techs) for their exemplary service and contributions to the general aviation community.
Award recipients are selected at the local, regional and national level, with national awardees recognized by the FAA Administrator every year at EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh.
The deadline to submit nominations for the 2018 awards is November 30 and the GAA committee needs more for the judging committee. If you know of an exceptional CFI, AMT and/or FAASTeam Representative please nominate them today!
