VINCENNES, Ind. – Vincennes University (VU) will co-host a national forum to help develop solutions for talent shortages in the aviation industry. The event will be held at the University’s Aviation Technology Center on November 7-8th.
VU is co-hosting the forum with the Talent Solutions Coalition (TSC), a consortium of leading aviation education and training providers, of which VU is a member. TSC serves aviation industry employers across the country, providing a nationwide talent supply chain for the industry.
“The aviation industry is facing significant talent shortages for both pilots and maintenance personnel. Vincennes University takes great pride in hosting this Forum with the Talent Solutions Coalition. Our goal is to develop and share best practices in talent planning management for the industry,” said Mike Gehrich, VU’s Director of Aviation.
The VU-TSC Forum is a series of panels featuring presenters from major and regional airlines, the Federal Aviation Administration, aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) companies, economic development organizations and leaders of industry-recognized aviation training and education programs.
“The Forum is particularly well-suited for talent acquisition executives and leaders from economic development organizations and aviation education programs. We will design and share specific methods and tools to help employers sustain high quality talent pipelines,” Gehrich said.

Vincennes is among a select group of aviation education and training providers in the Talent Solutions Coalition. TSC is based at the National Center for Aviation Training in Wichita, KS.
