Price Induction’s Multi-Presence During Paris Airshow

July 10, 2017
Exhibiting training solutions at the Paris Airshow 2017 was a success again this year for Price Induction.

Exhibiting at the Paris Le Bourget Air Show 2017 was a success again this year for Price Induction. The French R&T Company focused on propulsion technology took the opportunity to meet many R&T leaders, academics and experts and discuss about turbomachine innovations and future projects.

On its partner Safran booth, visitors have discovered some details about the DGEN 380 HP core hybridization, one of the company freshly kick-started projects with the engine manufacturer.

Electric propulsion was also promoted on Price Induction’s booth, with the Flying Whales’ LCA60T program airship, for which the design office has developed a proof-of-concept of electric propulsive system.

This year was also marked by the exhibition of four WESTT academic solutions on different stands:

  • The WESTT SE-HP, a core DGEN 380 engine assembly-disassembly station was in display on the booth of Aerocampus Aquitaine, a Part 147 approved aerospace training academy. Installed on the campus, this solution allows French and International, civil and military students to train on engine maintenance basic practices using a real engine;
  • The WESTT CS/BV, a virtual engine test bench which allows access to, amongst others, real thermodynamic stations and FADEC programming, was in demonstration on Price Induction booth, as well as the WESTT SEV, the whole DGEN 380 engine assembly-disassembly station offering the unique possibility to run a real turbofan electrically;
  • The WESTT BV66, an interactive EASA/PART-66 learning station had a warm welcome from the French and Foreign Army Forces on DCI (Defense Conseil International) booth, thanks to the high-quality illustrations, interactivity, engine simulation mode and teaching flexibility of the solution. An industrial and commercial partnership was made public by the two parties which will enable, amongst others, to co-develop some new BV 66 content.

Key meetings were held all week with propulsive R&T representatives from major aerospace groups such as Safran, Airbus, Dassault or Technical Research Institutes. Academics partners like InHolland Hogeschool, ENAC, and Polyaéro also joined the discussions on the DGEN 380 designer booth.

Last but not least, Polyaéro signed a purchase order for the acquisition of a WESTT CS/BV virtual engine test bench which will be used by the students next term!
