More Info on National Aeronautical Centre (NAC)

The NAC offers development and evaluation facilities, as well as a platform for companies to demonstrate their products to customers. It is also a forum where operators can build confidence with the regulatory authorities when producing a new product to enter the market and achieve sales and profits. West Wales Airport, owned by The Mann Organisation and located at Aberporth, is the cornerstone and UAS management centre of the NAC.  It is the only airport in the world that has been given authorisation by a national aviation authority, in this case the CAA, to operate UAS beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) and has been doing so since 2004.  The airfield offers segregated airspace for operators of 500 sq. miles over land and 2,000 sq miles over sea.
