It has signed an agreement with Princess Juliana International Airport (SXM) to extend its concessions and will lease part of the premises of the new General Aviation Terminal (GAT) and Signature Flight Support passenger terminal.
It has acquired the assets of FBO 2000 including its locations at V.C. Bird Antigua International Airport (ANU), R. Bradshaw International Airport (SKB) in St. Kitts and Vance W. Amory International Airport in Nevis (NEV).
Sun Air Jets, headquartered at Camarillo Airport (KCMA), delivers a wide variety of services including aircraft management, on demand charter, aircraft fueling, hangar storage and Part 145 aircraft maintenance.
The facility is authorised under EASA Part 145, EASA Part M and is a FAA Part 145 repair station providing customers with extensive Cessna Citation maintenance, avionics and mobile AOG Support throughout UK and Europe.
The new FBO will provide customers with a modern and contemporary style facility, consisting of a 6,800 square foot terminal, with lounges and office space, 11 acres of aircraft parking and hangar facility. It will open in the fall of 2014.
Through this acquisition, Signature Flight Support has expanded its FBO facility at Van Nuys Airport with a combined footprint of 1.17 million sq. ft. of hangar, ramp, passenger lounges and office space.
