The color-coded features of the Rainbow Series set them apart from the rest by giving an indication of size to every tool. They feature a 100 degree angle at the particularly short key part and the ballpoint. The hex keys are chrome-plated with a powder-coated color finish for protection against corrosion. They feature chamfered corners for easy insertion into screws. Additionally, they provide precision and regularity with tolerances smaller than a human hair. Count On Tools Inc., a provider of precision components and SMT spare parts, introduces the PB 304 Multipurpose Mallet from PB Swiss Tools. The mallets are extremely robust and feature a unique construction. The wooden handles consist of FSC-certified hickory from the U.S. The dimensions of the mallets are adapted to the weights of the hammer heads and they are better balanced in the hand than normal standard shafts. Cushioning the recoil by weights in the mallet body allows full and precise strikes. The multipurpose mallet features two different shaped heads made of durable, wear-resistant polyamide. The hardened head features a steel plate (approximately 5 mm thick) covering the polyamide head for a flat striking surface best suited for locksmith work and other heavy-duty applications. The soft head features a crowned striking surface made of the special polyamide material for precise, fine striking and other gentle or light-duty applications. PB Swiss Tools mallets without rebound feature weighted discs instead of shot to better balance the striking force of the hammer. The discs allow a more hard-wearing design of the steel middle piece than is possible with pellet-filled mallets. Count On Tools Inc. has released PB Swiss Tools’ Holding Ring Hex Keys. The hex keys allow fasteners to be inserted or removed in hard-to-reach locations without the fastener falling off the tool and without sacrificing strength. PB Swiss Tools’ hex key L-wrenches for hexagonal socket screws (mm) now are equipped with a holding ring on the ball end. The inlaid circlip spring ring holds screws firmly onto the tool, which facilitates work on difficult-to-reach areas. Because the holding ring is inlaid, wearing out the functionality of the feature over time no longer is a concern. Also, this allows movement up to 30 degrees when tightening and loosening the screw. Advantages include holds screws securely on tool, allows insertion or extraction without dropping the fastener, allows insertion or extraction in difficult-to-reach places, turns a full 360 degrees at up to a 30-degree angle, engages to full depth of screw head, and is available in small sizes (down to 2.5 mm).
