Weldcraft has expanded its premium tungsten electrode offering to include 2 percent lanthanated and zirconiated tungsten electrodes. The 2 percent lanthanated tungsten electrodes provide similar characteristics as the 1.5 percent lanthanated tungsten electrode, but with improved arc starting and stability, and less tip erosion. They are also a good substitute for 2 percent thoriated tungsten electrodes. The zirconiated tungsten electrodes resist spitting in higher current applications, minimizing the opportunity for tungsten contamination. These electrodes also provide excellent arc starts and stability, and ball up easily in AC applications, ensuring a smooth arc. Weldcraft offers six models of stainless-steel water coolers designed to provide consistent, long-term cooling performance on both TIG and MIG welding applications, as well as plasma cutting operations. Each of the water coolers is available in 115- and 230-volt models and operates on single-phase power. The 2500SS and 2502SS water coolers feature a 2-gallon reservoir, while the 3500SS and 3502SS models have a 3-gallon reservoir. The largest of the available models, the 6500SS and 6502SS water coolers, include a 6-gallon reservoir. To reduce coolant temperatures and resist corrosion, the water coolers feature a rugged, stainless- steel coolant reservoir that includes a closed-loop design with a radiator. To help provide precision TIG welding performance on thin-materials and limited-access joints, Weldcraft offers its WP-50 and WP-125 Micro-Tig torches. Both TIG torches feature lightweight, short torch bodies that allow pen-like control on even the most complex applications, including those in aircraft and aerospace industries, artistic metalworking and welding application using extremely thin base metals. The WP-50 air-cooled TIG torch provides 50 amps DC (40 AC) of welding capacity at 60 percent duty cycle. Its miniature 80-degree torch head is only 5/8-inch long and 3/8 inch in diameter, allowing it to be maneuvered in even in the tightest of spaces. Plus, the entire torch is only 8 1/2 inches long and 3/4 inch in diameter at its widest point. This torch is also available in a valved version (WP-50V) for use with power sources that lack a gas solenoid. The WP-125 water-cooled TIG torch is available in three models. The WP-125S features a 2-inch torch body, while the WP-125M torch body is 3.5 inches long. The largest of the models, the WP-125L features a 5-inch torch body.
