Each set is built around the familiar reverse-ratcheting S-shaped wrench – a proven design for helping technicians work around obstructions in tight spaces – but includes adaptors that let the technician turn several fastener sizes with just one wrench body. Think of it as the box-end equivalent of a ratchet-and-socket socket set. Each set includes one 8-inch long wrench body, six flank adaptors, and an equal number of box heads. Each flank adaptor is designed to slip into one of the wrench openings, while each box head attaches to its corresponding flank adaptor. The wrenches consist of three electronic, two micrometer, and four preset versions, in ¼-, 3/8-, and ½-inch drives, with torque values from 25 in-lbs to 250 ft-lbs. The attachments include ratcheting, open-end, and box heads, in metric and inch sizes. An easy to understand part-numbering system matches the correct torque wrench to the attachment. The interchangeable head system addresses the fact that mechanical assemblies are becoming tighter and more compact. The wrenches allow users to remove the ratchet head and replace it with an open end or box head, whose narrower profile can fit into tighter spaces. The wrenches also keep workers productive by letting them change heads without having to recalculate torque values. As part of an ongoing torque product line expansion, Stanley Proto has enhanced its torque screwdriver offerings. The launch includes more accurate versions of four existing tools and the introduction of four new torque screwdrivers, which boast more accuracy then current Stanley Proto versions - a total of eight tools. These tools have been specifically requested by Proto customers, especially those in the electronics and aerospace industries. The company’s previous offering included four ¼-inch drive torque screwdrivers – an inch-ounce model and an inch-pound model with an accuracy range of +/- 6 percent of the torque reading, as well as a CERT version of each. By re-engineering these with precision-machined internal components, Proto has improved accuracy to a precise +/- 4 percent of the indicated torque reading. This accuracy level is available in the clockwise direction from 20 to 100 percent of full scale. The Stanley Proto dial electronic torque wrench design includes a durable chrome body (not painted) and a sturdy rotary bezel. A fast sampling rate ensures the wrench will measure peak torque the moment it's reached. Torque measurements can be read in inch-pound, foot-pound, or N-m, simply by pressing a button. A green light and a buzzer indicate when the target torque has been reached; a red light and an intermittent buzzer warn when the fastener has been overtorqued. Torque Multiplier Display Wrench
Product From Proto Industrial ToolsThe Stanley Proto Torque Multiplier Display Wrench makes a torque multiplier even more useful by making it easier to measure applied torque. It does so by measuring torque directly at the fastener, with an impressive accuracy of +/- 1%. A torque multiplier uses an internal planetary gear system that applies more torque on the fastener than is applied by the user. For instance 100 foot-pounds applied to the wrench handle by the user might place 1,360 foot-pounds of torque on the fastener. The torque multiplier provides enough power to tighten and loosen the stubborn fasteners and it eliminates the need for long levers, allowing users to turn high-torque fasteners in cramped quarters. However, the user must hand-calculate the input torque based on the multiplication factor of the torque multiplier. Often, human error can result in the wrong final torque being applied to the fastener. The wrench displays the actual applied torque to the fastener eliminating the need for this manual calculation. The user does not even need a torque wrench to apply the input torque because they see the final applied torque. The wrench, which is placed between the multiplier and the fastener, ensures that the proper final torque is applied to the fastener and helps eliminate the chance for mistakes. The tool has a 1-inch drive and is available in two torque ranges. Model J6349A has a range of 100-1,000 ft-lbs. while Model J6352 has a range of 200-2,000 ft-lbs. They are designed to securely hold sockets while in use, making it possible for users to change sockets with one hand.
