Finally, a code compliant ultrasonic testing (UT) imaging tool that’s simple and doesn’t require extensive training. With higher probability of detection, higher resolution, less training, and lower cost than phased array systems, Imperium’s Acoustocam i700 allows user to set up, calibrate, and scan structures immediately for internal defects. Inspectors now create stunning C-scan subsurface images quicker than a UT flaw detector. Accepted by Boeing and used on aerospace structures worldwide, the data are easy to interpret and highly reliable, providing high-resolution imagery and thicknesses. This results in significant cost savings and improved accuracy.
