Oxygen Gas Transfer Booster

Scavenge gas from aviation oxygen cylinders with this oxygen boost pump. The pump is pneumatically driven to take 100 PSI supply cylinder oxygen up to 3500 PSI. Average overhaul cycle time is 2000 hours or one million strokes. Connecting lines and a shop air compressor are required to power the pump.

FAA requires helicopters to be equipped with "pop floats" for over water operations. This gas boost pump uses nitrogen to pressure the pop float cylinders. Boosters come with all components to connect to a nitrogen cylinder and refill cylinders. Pumps can be used for other nitrogen gas applications.

Haskel pop float nitrogen boosters from American Airworks have been specifically designed for helicopters, and/or small aircraft, where a portable self-powered booster is needed for ground support. The primary application is to service high pressure on-board nitrogen or helium bottles on helicopters, which are equipped with emergency inflatable pop floats.(Required by FAA under FAR regulation 135.183 if flying over water beyond the point where landing would be possible if engine failed.) Boosters come with connecting hoses and are ready for immediate service. However, these Haskel boosters can be used to service other components needing high pressure nitrogen such as shock struts and pre-recharging hydraulic accumulators. Wearing parts are available in kits and are field replaceable with simple instructions and conventional hand tools.
