What's Your Airport's Marketing Strategy?

Every airport needs to have a current marketing strategy in place that can be regularly reviewed and which keeps up with economic, environmental, and industry issues. With the start a new year almost upon us, it is a good time to review an airport’s performance against its marketing strategy. OPERATION LION ARK
By Agnes Huff - Tuesday October 25, 2011The historic and record-breaking animal airlift, Operation Lion Ark, with 25 circus lions rescued by Animal Defenders International (ADI) landed safely at Denver International Airport on February 16, 2011. The Transportes Aereos Bolivianos (TAB) DC-10 with its precious cargo of lucky lions took off from Bolivia and upon landing in Denver taxied to the United Airlines hangar. ADI Ambassador Jorja Fox, CSI’s Sarah Sidle, and celebrity TV presenter Bob Barker, whose substantial support has made the project possible so far, were on hand to meet the historic flight. Remembering the Past – Moving Towards the Future
By Agnes Huff - Tuesday October 25, 2011Airports, cities and countries around the globe arranged and participated in formal ceremonies to remember and honor the nearly 3,000 victims who perished that day who were from more than 90 countries. The day was a time to remember, come together and vow never to forget. Security procedures at airports around the world have improved following the attacks, with increased standards, better screening tools and in general a more vigilant attitude towards potential future threats. Passengers have also changed their travel habits following 9/11 and have assumed more responsibility for their personal safety.
