Happy Thanksgiving

Nov. 21, 2013
Starting with the November/December issue we are celebrating the 25th anniversary of Aircraft Maintenance Technology, and each issue over the next year will include editorial features on how far we and the industry have come over the last 25 years.

It’s hard to imagine we are already entering the holiday season. The reality of 2013 rapidly slipping by has set in and here in the upper Midwest this means cold weather, snow, and wind; yes winter time. Small country airports around the region may see business slow as less people are flying prompted by long stretches of poor flying weather, less daylight and busy holiday schedules.

The November/December issue of Aircraft Maintenance Technology magazine should be in your mailbox soon. This issue has several feature articles relating to general aviation. I’m sure all of you GA types will enjoy it. Starting with this issue we are celebrating the 25th anniversary of the magazine, each issue over the next year will include editorial features on how far we and the industry have come over the last 25 years. Thank you to the readers and advertisers who have made the journey with us.

The AMTSociety education events have begun and are off to a great start with the first one in Houston. Even though these events target GA technicians choosing to use this education for Inspection Authorization renewal they are open to all AMTSociety members, students, managers – any and all aviation-minded people. The next events are:

January 8, 2014 in Atlanta, GA; February 12, 2014 in Kansas City, MO; March 5, 2014 in Denver, CO; and of course in Las Vegas in conjunction with AviationPros LIVE on March 25-26. To preregister for any of these events visit http://www.amtsociety.org/roadshow.jsp.

Happy Thanksgiving, Ron
